These terms govern your use of Ascend Research. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read the section on what Ascend is — and isn’t — carefully.

1. What Ascend is (and isn’t)

Ascend is a research and education platform. It is notinvestment, financial, tax, or legal advice, and using it does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship. Everything the app produces — including AI-generated analysis, theses, briefs, scores, and alerts — is for informational and educational purposes only. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions, and investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Ascend.

3. Your account

Keep your sign-in credentials secure and don’t share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account, and you agree to provide accurate information.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the portfolio and research data you provide. You grant Ascend a limited license to store and process that data solely to operate the service for you (including generating analysis as described in our Privacy Policy).

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use Ascend for any unlawful purpose, attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt it, scrape or bulk-export data through unauthorized means, or resell or redistribute the service without our permission.

6. Market data

Market and company data is provided by third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. It is provided “as is” for research, is not intended for trading execution, and should be independently verified before you rely on it.

7. AI-generated output

Analysis, summaries, and other AI-generated output are produced automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. Treat them as a starting point for your own judgment, not as a recommendation, and verify anything you intend to act on.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ascend will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any investment losses, arising from your use of the service.

10. Termination

You may stop using Ascend and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or to protect the service and its users.

11. Changes

We may update the service and these terms over time. If we make material changes, we’ll let you know in the app and update the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ascend Research operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
